mastered it with henches. grab the 2 heroes monk and mhenlo. after u killed the first varesh dont aggro the second one, just take your time to kill all foes. after 5 minutes they stop spawning and u have the whole map clean. assault varesh and kill her.

After you take down Varesh first time go to east side. Place flag to your heroes stay enough away from enemies and lure few monsters. Then lure Varesh away from his original position.

I got masters by using a different tactic. I used a Dragon Slash + Sun and Moon Slash + "For Great Justice" tank build and brought a prot monk hero, the paragon hero guy needed for mission, an Orders/Blood Rit/Clumsiness hybrid necro along with the motivation, healer, and earth henchman I believe. Basically I just took out the Clerics, then whaled away at Varesh ignoring any other enemies until she went down.

I got masters on this first try, Using 3 Heros/4 Henchmen

Me - W/X (usually dont use second profession skills)
Mo - Durk Condition/Hex Removal
Mo - Turn Healing
Ele - Zeh Air Ele (mind shock/ eneverating charge)
Then 1 Mo Hench
One Illusion Hench
One Earth Hench
One Blood

Basically i bum rushed the first spawn of varesh and killed her in like 30 seconds, then positioned my henchmen behind a wall so i could soley focus on the second spawn of varesh and did not attack anything but her.

My Build Was
Evis
Pen Chop
Pen Blow
Exe
That new one that disrupts if the attack is a crit hit
Tigers Fury
Burst of Agression
Doyok Sig

15 Axe
14 Strength

I just ran SB Spike with my Necro. After killing the first Varesh I gathered everyone to the centerpoint and waited for Margonite Varesh to pop up and we just spiked her. It took a while, but luckily none of the henches went stupid and aggro'd the patrols outside the center area.

Take 3 or better yet 4 AI monks.

First group...kill clerics one by one, then kill her. Straightforward.

Second Group...key is not to aggro all of her minions. I suggest run all the way back behind the quicksand to the far left corner. When she starts spawning her minions, approach her while aggroing just one group of minions and give her a proper beating. Ignore minions totally, as your monks will take care of you. Easy as that. You should get master's.

Keep in mind that LB gaze now works on both versions of her. Which makes it really easy to take her down. I got masters last night in 3:42 secs.

Are you all sure that when he says vortex he means the Ruins of Morah?

It would make more sense if by vortex he meant the realm of torment since you have to go through the vortex to get there...

Regardless of the exact intended meaning of the OP's 3 cryptic words, the ensuing topic is handy

I never EVER leave home without lightbringer's gaze(well, desolation on) If I need to res goes first. Its that good. Nice time Tarus! I think my buddy and I did in 6 or so, either way we got masters our first time that we completed, but we did fail twice first. Lately I've been bringing 2 AOE nukers, one searing/glowing/liquid flame the other sandstorm/eruption/earthquake... ouchland.
